‘Kapow! Superhero Challenge’ comes to Leeds this June
Kapow! Superhero Challenge is a brand new fun-filled obstacle course event taking place on 30th June at Temple Newsam Estate.
You can run jog or walk around a course with 10 giant inflatable obstacles, lots of foam and a few more surprises along the way! Kapow! is the perfect event for families, friends and colleagues to challenge each other. You can take part just for the fun of it or raise money for your favourite charity.
The event is being organised by the type 1 diabetes charity JDRF in collaboration with nine other charities including Martin House Children’s Hospice, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, Breast Cancer Haven, Brainstrust, Leeds Hospital Children’s Foundation, Candlelighters, RSPCA Leeds & Wakefield Branch, Yorkshire Cancer Centre and Autism East Midlands.
Sadie Munro of JDRF said: ‘Nine local charities have come on board to help make this event happen, so we’re set for a super day that will raise thousands for local causes. We’re encouraging people to dress up as their favourite superhero too, so whether you are an Avenger, X-Men or Justice League fan you’re all are welcome to take part and be heroes!’
Obstacles include a four metre high slide, inflatable tunnels and a maze: You’ll feel like a true hero at the end!
Ellie Barker at Martin House said: ‘This is a really exciting event to be part of. It’s brilliant to be able to collaborate with so many other local causes to make the event really special.’
You can get tickets through your favourite charity or at Register on the JDRF website
Please note: All entrants under 16 must be over 1.2m tall and each group of 6 children must be accompanied by at least two adults. Even heroes need a hand every now and then!
