Head to your nearest phone box, it’s time to turn into a Superhero for Severn Hospice!
Severn Hospice has fired up its bat signal and is calling all caped crusaders, wonder women, supermen and Super Teds to the West Mid Showground for Shropshire’s biggest inflatable obstacle course.
KAPOW! guarantees to be a day of pneumatic nonsense on April 21st, as hundreds of supporters don their best masks, tights and comedy pants to raise funds for the charity.
Severn Hospice Fundraising Manager Lucy Ruff says: “This is such an exciting new event, we’ve been working on it in our Secret Events Cave for a few months, and we are delighted to announce it to the world.
“Budding Superheroes will have to battle their way through huge obstacles, crawl through tunnels and tackle giant slides over the 5km course. It’s the first time the area’s seen anything like this, and it’s going to be absolutely brilliant! All we’re asking in return is for people to raise funds for us.”
Lucy adds: “You don’t actually need super powers to take part, just a sense of super fun – and you must be at least 1.2m tall. We are encouraging people to dress as Superheroes, but if you’d rather keep your identity hidden – and your pants UNDER your clothes – you’re still very welcome!”
The hospice is also looking for volunteer superheroes to help out at the event.
Registration for KAPOW! costs £20 and includes a hospice hero’s medal and a bottle of water.
